The lamp shade is flat packed which saves on space & costs, and our staff are always quick to send video instruction to any customer who reaches out with trouble assembling. We’ve created a simple three-step instruction manual with illustrations for future customers.
We do offer replacements whenever possible if items are damaged during shipping, but the base is specifically designed to show the electrical cord that way. Even the original Caprani lamp has it.

I should’ve been more cautious when I approached this product not realizing it had zero reviews and subconsciously I was in Amazon prime mode thinking free returns. Conversely, you cannot return this product. The product arrived and the lampshade came in a rolled up format with no instructions on how to turn it into a lampshade. Electrical cord is completely visible on the back of the wooden stand and where it comes through the wood, the wood is splintered. From a distance, the lamp looks good as the picture shows. I would not recommend paying $400 plus shipping for this lamp. I think the argument from the sellers is that it imitates a much more expensive lamp.
